Kirigalpoththa Hike 2026

Discover Sri Lanka’s mist-covered central highlands on a professionally guided journey to Kirigalpoththa, the country’s second-highest mountain peak.

This one-day hiking experience takes participants through the grasslands, cloud forests and mountain valleys of Horton Plains National Park before reaching the Kirigalpoththa summit at approximately 2,388 metres above sea level.

Event Itinerary:

• Pickup from Colombo Fort Railway Station

• Transport to Horton Plains National Park

• Breakfast

• Introduction and safety briefing

• Guided hike to the Kirigalpoththa summit

• Refreshments during the hike

• Lunch during the activity

• Evening tea and snack

• Return transport to Colombo Fort Railway Station
