The Sri Lanka International Ethnic Folklore Festival

The Sri Lanka International Ethnic Folklore Festival (IEFF Sri Lanka) is a global cultural celebration bringing together folk dance, music, and performance groups from around the world to Colombo. The festival offers a platform for artists to perform, compete, and connect while exploring Sri Lanka’s rich heritage and vibrant contemporary culture.

Dates :

  1. 20 to 27 January 2027
  2. 15 to 22 June 2027
  3. 05 to 12 November 2027

Details:

  1. Optional: One-day competition category
  2. Performance Categories: Folk, Classical, Choir, Majorette, Orchestra, Bands
  3. Participants: International dance and music groups, aged 7 to 70+ years
  4. Group size: Minimum 4 participants, no maximum limit
  5. Performances: Each group presents three different performances (10 to 15 minutes each), once per day at designated venues
  6. Additional activities: Cultural parades, workshops, sightseeing tours, gala evenings
