Skills Expo 2026

Skills Expo 2026 is a national skills-development and career-focused exhibition scheduled to take place at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo. The event focuses on Technical and Vocational Education and Training, commonly known as TVET, and aims to connect students, school leavers, job seekers and young professionals with vocational training institutions, industry representatives and skills-development opportunities. Visitors will be able to explore modern technical careers and learn about the practical knowledge and professional skills required for employment in Sri Lanka and overseas. The expo is expected to include specialised zones covering Information Technology, Engineering, Tourism and Creative Industries. Activities are expected to include live demonstrations, interactive “try-a-skill” sessions, professional seminars and discussions with industry experts and training providers. Skills Expo 2026 also highlights “Skills for Sustainability,” introducing participants to emerging employment areas such as renewable energy, environmentally responsible manufacturing and green-economy careers.
